I'm sorry, I didn't think there would be this many posts.

The girl is mildly good looking, she was a friend in High School and we were just talking about stuff. I'm 20 and getting my ME degree.

Anyway, I don't want to be lit on fire for thinking i could beat the WRX. We were talking about stuff (old HS friend) and i took the challenge for multiple reasons.

We'll see how it all turns out though, It will be fun anyhow...:)

Oh and about the AWD thing, I think I'm humble enough to realize that I don't know everything about racing and I certainly don't know from experience. But I've heard some *knowledgeable* people say that AWD is sometimes odd to handle if you don't know how to deal with it.

Good luck, granted my car is a mostly stock eta, I have an exhaust system...whooopitydooooo, My buddies bug eyed wrx would completely crush me....hands down. All he has are brake upgrades and sticky tires on stock rims. I wouldn't race him unless I had a chance to unplug a spark plug wire on his car somethin first. Although 5hp a piece stickers and some naaaaawzzzzz may give you a fighting chance there Mr. Spilner......

Hahaha WRX's are great cars. As far as racing goes, you stand a MUCH better chance in a straight line. In the twisties the only result I can see is more injured teenagers, which is something we dont particularly need more of.

That said, I'm glad that my eta is in a different league from them. It's faster and gets better fuel mileage. Hooray.

borrow a chip and remove all your seats and spare tire. make yor car as light as possible and redline on all shifts. maybe you'll just lose one car lenght :p

What were your before and after 1/4mi. times if you don't mind me asking?

I looked online and a lot of people are pushing low 14s and even a couple in the high 13s in stock wrx's which amazed me. I'm sure this girl isn't that great of a driver though.

15.5, I'm not a good driver either though, best I could get stock was 15.9, when I've seen people get as low as 15.3 in stock e30s. It was also from a roll, those low 14s have a lot to do with the AWD. But I would have to assume my friend wasn't exactly the greatest driver either.

STi's were a whole nother ball park though, my best friend drives one, he beat the pants off me, same kid that had the Type S before that was even with me.
