Bah, I ignored all posts besides the first one. Computer nerds need to be stabbed in the eye.

Besides, I was probably using that browser before you were born.

wait a minute. You do web design, and NEVER HAD a copy of firefox?? Have you tried any other browser? have you ever done testing on a Mac? (If you mean amateur web design, nevermind, sorry. But design for firefox anyway, it's more standards compliant.)
I don't do web design full time - only 1 or 2 sites a year - and since 99% of the world is on IE I don't usually bother. I have access to 100's of PC and Macs so I do do a tad bit of platform testing.

I tried running red hat...it sucked. Espically the c compiler. Lets face it MS blowes, but at least you can get it up and running with out dedicating your life to a computer. I'd rather have some free time in my life...

Both. I prefer firefox - it's interface with customizable toolbars rocks. Firefox > ALL other browsers.
Mozilla's Thunderbird is a pretty awesome mail client too.

After installing SP2, IE hasn't been giving me any of the problems it used to. Firefox is nice, but I'll just stick with what's familiar. :D

uhm i thought the full name for firefox was "mozilla firefox" ? i might be wrong, just remember reading about it in maximum pc. nothing will stop me from using ie, though, especially after service pack 2 exceeded my expectations.

I will go on record saying I have never seen another PC product so easy to switch to...absolutely transparent.
If you use IE, download Mozilla Foxfire and try it. It is free, works perfectly on most any machine and cures almost all of the microsoft issues.

meh.. I tried it, but it doesn't work with a lot of websites I visit, and it's slow. Plus I've never had issues with spyware or popups on my computer anyway. and, I think XP sucks, and SP2 doesn't make it suck any less...

I've been using firfox for about 6 months now and I'm satisfied. The only thing is that, as Charlie said, it gets tripped up on Java stuff sometimes. I really love the tabs though.

I'd tab that in the back.

hmmm - explain tabs to me...nothing in the online help about it.

Never mind - drag url address from bar to just below it and you can now switch to differ open web sites.
