Either way, I went through something similar like 2 months ago, there was a 50's Dodge truck that had been left in a warehouse parking lot for like a month or so. Had a full toolbox in the back and 2 spare tires with chrome original wheels. The paint was toast but other than that it looked solid. I talked to the owner of the lot and he said he was gonna have it towed that weekend because he didn't know who the owner was.

I did some investigating and here in the "I'm-not-allowed-to-have-vaginal-intercourse-before-marriage because-I'm-a-m0rManz-but-feel-free-to-stick-it-in-my-ass" land, the law says that the state has to do a nationwide search for the vehicle's owner and only IF there is not sufficient proof of ownership from anyone then can they "create" a title in my name for said vehicle.

I have to fill out like 20 forms and it takes anywhere from 2-4 moths before they get back to me.
