id grab it no matter what it is. give $200 bucks and sell the parts and make some money if it is not worth keeping. looks good, and i don't think it has been sitting there for very long.

And with a car looking like yours I imagine the balance shall tip in the favor of insult, like a big fat fucking retarded fucking black girl on a see-saw, opposite... a dwarf.
what about title transfer? I know in GA anythin older than 85 does not need a title just a Bill Of Sale, but wouldn't them selling someone else's car be considered theft by receiving?

It certainly would here in michigan. I once tried to buy a motorcycle that had belonged to a guy who was in jail for a long time ( he wasn't getting out anytime soon) but I couldn't because He would have had to sign over the titl. The shop that had had the bike had been applying for ownership for sometime. It was annoying to say the least.
Gotta agree on that DC sticker alluding to how long it's been sitting.
OP, do yourself a favor tonight and ping your local motor vehicles administration website. Do a little homework on what you might need for proof of purchase, titling, and registration of a car acquired like this. You may find the shop has a mechanics lein against the car that they'll need to write off/declare no further interest. Even then you may have to fight whomever holds the title now if he/she sees you in "their" car. Possession being nine tenths of the law, you'll do yourself a favor getting the shop to help you document them selling the car to you and why.
keep on it, that e30 reminds me of the impounded 325i i ripped the shit out of thinking it was a junkyard car, haha. the towing company was a part of the junkyard.
Great notes guys!! Many thanks. I have been researching title transfers here in the Nutmeg State and it looks like I'll have to figure out the EXACT story with this car before I make a move.
And yes, when the weather is nice I will snag some high-res photos with the Canon... I just had my smaller camera on me today so I could get some quick pics.
Hopefully I will be able to dig up a VIN number and run through some records. Mileage/maintenance is still a big question.
