I wonder about exhaust clearance for those of us with headers though...

I have a 2 1/2 down pipe on my turbo car and it fit great. I come under the control arms and in front of the exhaust. also fits with larger sway bars.

well I'm swamped at work so not much to update. I will be making a small change to the brace. I want to get it a little stiffer. What I plan is a cross piece just under the race skids logo connecting the two bars. I'm very happy with the performance asis but I think in the long run and so the nonvert cars feel it I will make this update.

When you say FEA are you talking finite analysis? How does that apply? Things are much different on the car than they may appear on paper. Real data is; well, real.

That being said, I'm sure this brace holds up quite fine for a street cruiser.

Yes Finite element analysis. It will let me put the brace under stress to find any weak points. NASA uses this program for the space shuttle to test before they launch

We also do real world testing. I have the brace on a vert and my turbo car that I drive hard every day. I have built and raced my own car so I will make sure this is a track worthy brace. Thanks for the input.

Wow that things is impressive. If my money weren't going 8 different directions I would get that this week.

maybe sometime soon :) I want to stiffen up my car to better handle the m30 thats in it now and the turbo i have planned.

Yeah, I'm aware of what it is. I use it regularly; albeit with different software. Certainly you can't know how it will actually be loaded in real conditions though.

I'm going to stop commenting though, I may be coming off as trying to trash your product and I am definitely not. The product looks great, and if I may even purchase one at some point.

                    Good work.

                        Cross Brace for your E30

                        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This will fit all e30 except the IX. I have test fit it on an M3, 325is,318is and cars with large sway bars and large down pipes as well. My cross brace will increase the rigidity by connecting up the sub-frame to the frame rails.
A must have for Vert owners and any one looking for the better ride. R3V pricing is $249 + shipping. This includes all hardware needed for the install with or with out a skid plate. If you want both $399 is the deal.

"For anyone that made the e30 picnic, ejnight "RACE SKIDS..." was there and he was displaying a beautiful prototype of his front X-brace. Of course, I had to buy it and have since installed it on my Coupe.

It wasn't a "night and day" difference like is is on the Verts but after a few weeks of driving I enjoy the increased rigidity over bumps and even roads. Less pendulum motion from the motor, less steering wheel shake.

                        It just feels tighter.

If he decides to produce it will be the one to have. "

Well I have and Here it is, I hope you like it.

This is a proto type on my car. the new one is a little stiffer with the bend in the rear of the Race skids logo.

Do you know if they will fit a lowered subframe? (1" drop for S38 install)

I'm sure it is an odd request but, if yes, then I'll take a set.

I think you could make it fit but I have not had one in to look at.
