    Determining duty cycle/injector opening time?

alright, lets see if my reasoning makes sense to others:

im having trouble getting these 30l# fuel injectors to work in my car, even with the SMT-6

    so heres my solution:

ok, so the stock fuel injectors are 14#ers, if i can figure out the pulse width at idle, i can then see how much fuel is being delievered ( 14#/hour/ 60 minutes/ 60 seconds/1000 (to get milliseconds). i can do the same for the 30 pounders and then set back the voltage accordingly so the same amount of fuel will be injected.

    good? bad?

Why they hell do you have 30# injectors if you want them to deliver the same amount of fuel that the stock ones deliver?

set back the voltage accordingly so the same amount of fuel will be injected.
Maybe I am understanding that wrong.

the problem is 30# injectors are way out of the range for the ECU. remember, the SMT6 can only work within the limits of the ECU. get smaller injectors already!

well...i got them to work once...like the first time i ever tried and it worked without a hitch..but then i started fucking with the AFM adjustment screw and the car stopped running, so to get it running again i swapped in some 19's...i tried several more times to get the 30's working after that (probably 4 or 5 installs) with no luck...crazy.

so i know thats not the case.

TCD informed me that a guy had 42lbers working with the SMT-6

Digital, im only looking to get the car running with them, and since they will be running at very low capacity, i'll have a lot to work with. I'm wireing the primary injectors to a map sensor so it will add fuel dependent on boost ala rising rate fuel pressure regualator...but more lik pulsewidth increasing with boost fuel giving device ; )

        can anyone answer my question?
