    What are the chances....

of surviving a roll over event in my Cabrio...

I just need some mathematical assurance or something... statistics.. something..

It's like my greatest fear, considering i flipped over my 318ti at 100mph...

    Any takers?

      flipping it at 100?

      Seatbelt on: 30%

Seatbelt off: 4% (providing the car doesnt roll over you, if so then 0%)

I would suggest not flipping it at 100mph, its always been a good rule of thumb for me.

Well, I'm not saying I'm gonna flip my car over.. I RARELY even get near 100mph in my car. But my old car I flipped at 100mph into a 5m ditch in the middle of the jungle.. Both myself and my passenger came out fine.. Hell, the car wasn't even all that bad until the tow truck dragged it out of the ditch UPSIDE DOWN :(

Oh, forgot you are in Panama. I was assuming you were in the US. Let me adjust my figures just a bit:

          0%/0%

          Ok, youre covered.

            The Ditch

            What's left of the car.

Not bad considering both myself and my passenger walked out unscathed.. thank god for german engineering.

I toyed with the idea for a while actually..
I was like "hmm, i'd have the only cabrio compact in the world"

I ended up parting the car.. should i be in that position right now though, i'd fix the car, put in a roll cage and stuff an inline six in. then go crazy :)

Something tells me that car would not have been easy to fix.

eh.. don't wanna spoil the look either.. i saw a white E30 cabrio with a roll bar the other day and I almost puked.. it was fugly..

guess I'll just work suspension and make sure to avoid a roll over event :P

that or get some NAWS and make ejection seats LOL...

well your 1st problem would be getting the 318 up to 100... then you could worry about flipping it.
