a sniping program will automatically set a proxy bid at a defined interval before the auction, in my case, i set it up to place a proxy bid 7 seconds before the auction ends (that usually accounts for server lag, etc.)

google for auction sentry, its a pay-program that is really good. if you google around you can find a crack for it that will let you use it for free, but its worth paying for, i'm probably going to purchase a copy next time i get some cash.

This is very true. On more than one occassion have I put some Sacramento Kings tickets on eBay, and I've monitored the bidding activity of my auction in the closing minutes. When I had playoff tickets up for grabs, you should've seen the bidding madness. I was smiling all the way to the bank :D

or do what I do.have 3 windows open.One to refresh and the other two to bid.I have never lost an auction this way.I love waiting till the last 10-15 seconds and getting an excellent deal.Having my 6 Mbps speed helps also.

This is the way I do it.

same here, but isnt it a bitch when the action ends in like 3 in the morning!

those are the best ones...becuase the other people that are going to snipe at the last second sometimes sleep through it
