e30 I always shifted at 3k for normal driving, it got so loud, even at 3k it sounded like I was just an idiot that didn't know how to drive stick. The Subaru I shift anywhere between 3-4k depending on how I'm feeling, it's super quiet so I can do that now.
Depends. Driving around town to the store, I shift between 4-5k after the car's warmed up.
Driving for fun (car isn't a DD, so this is more often than not the case), 7100rpm on my m20 and 4.10. Thing's damn fun. And if it dies....motorswap/stroker!
As for my Scoob....honestly, same, except it redlines at 6k.
2017 Chevrolet SS, 6MT

man... I took my little E30 outside for a ride, now 5sp.... there is no other car like E30... PERIOD. Don't know how to explain, but driving E30 is like having sex with a girl of your dreams, but the girl is a bit inexperienced, so you have to show her what to do and she will do it beautifully! ohhh man... after I got the 5sp tranny in it, it is all new love all over again! :)))
normal driving, right around 3000 average. Fun driving, 6500.
this
unless the car is cold, then i granny shift
