    Are there any aftermarket hoods that open like "normal" cars?

    Hood pins are OK in the front, But I'd like it to be hinged in the rear, not lift off. I'm sure I could make something, but would rather not.

    I made a cursory search, but came up pretty dry. I'm not too BMW savy and was hoping someone's seem something in their travels...

    And not to be too picky, but I also don't want any lame ass vents or gills or any of that fggt shit.

    I think the shape of the hood would make this difficult without some complicated hinges. Why not keep it how it is?

      Because it's such a fucking pain in the ass to work on and I think it looks stupid.

          I'm a competent mechanic, thanks tho, but I'm already aware of how long it takes to get the hood off!

          I don't give a fuck if it takes .34 nanoseconds to take the hood off. That was not the question I posed.

                It's an assumption, you would have to fab brackets to mount them to the e30 "strikers" region, but it should do what you want, while keeping the OEM hood.

                  This person is clearly not diving into E30 ownership with the proper attitude. :)

                  Real BMWs hinge hoods from the front, we all know that.

                              It may be a pain to work on but it sure doesn't look stupid. It actually looks way cooler than any other hood when opened. Except maybe a rear engined Ferrari. Get a fiberglass hood and get rid of the hinges. Just use the roller guides in the back and pins in the front.
