My friend had a 1st gen Talon he dumped almost $20,000 in to, and I am not joking. It did not run better than a 14.3

He sold it for $4000 a couple months ago.

If you spent 20K on a 1G and pulling those times it MUST be a show car with a $15K paint job. Do you have any pics?

My friend has 97 GSX, and has 25,000 into it and the thing only runs 12.9. Considering its broke every weekend, i would never go the DSM route. I think hes been through like 2 T-cases, a tranny and a blown motor. Maybe its the 16g and the 25lbs hes runnign.

I have afriend with an early 1G Turbo AWD - it's funny, cause all I ever hear from him is: when I get my turbo rebuilt. It's been sititng for months. he bought the car for $400 from some rundown POS car lot. He ran it into the GROUND with shot rings. There was oil SITTING on his valve cover, and he still ran it at the drag races (sad thing was, the tech guys let it slide!).

Needless to say, they may be fast, but they are continually breaking! I'm just not a huge fan. 8)
