I think the power makes it easy enough to rotate the car and counter any understeer that the motor placement may induce.

I don't get why people say this? Throttle oversteer isn't an ideal solution to understeer.
I've always wondered that too. It seems to me that a perfectly balanced car will have completely neutral handling, as in front and rear will break traction at the same point during a constant speed, constant radius turn. Maybe I'm taking it too literally?

a wing that big could easily affect weight distribution with all the downforce it's going to be putting out behind a 400bph V8... it's not like you're putting it on a bronzit 318i 4 door auto :)

Did that car used to have some insane 2.9L S14? And like 5 degrees negative front camber? Or did someone else just make another car with the same ridiculous bodywork/paint?

some one please potoshop the image of the front veiw with the bag & handle from a stand up vacum please it's just begging for it. that said it's got to be of the fastest, worst weight distributed e30's out there.

how do you know? ... the rear end could be full of lead, and it could then infact be slower than an m10 powered, US bumpered Touring ... with 2 fat chicks driving ... carrying enough food for an afternoon picnic.

i CANT BELIEVE ALL THE HATERS OUT THERE! that car is here in germany, and the guy that owns it has a very large racing background here. he ued to have some insane M5 powered E21 and rolled it. I read about the build up of that car somewhere, and it seems pretty incredible to me. I agree not the prettiest, but prettyness doesnt really count for anything on the track. Say it has bad weight distr. od whatever you want, Im sure noone in the states has a E30 that can compare!

There was one of those engines forsale on ebay not too long ago, starting price was $7000, it was a pre approved auction and nobody wanted to bid on it. Could have been a 3 series install right there :p
Just a little project im working on

Doesn't a V8 swap need some extensive modification of the front subframe to fit?
