looks like im going 2002 after all.
it will be just as sick to have an '02 though.

yeah, gotta love a timing chain system that starts to fall apart at 150k. ;)

bummer about the car, but it didn't really sound that special anyway.

2002 are really amazing cars to drive. I think you will be happy with your choice.

                Wohoo! 2002 love!

Gotta order my camber caster adjustment kits for my 02 rear subframe, then I can weld that shit on and build my F and R subframes up and stash them somewhere to wait for the body.

My project thread hasnt been updated in a while, but I've done little stuff here and there. Most of the sound insulation is in, the whole floor is covered anyway.

Looking forward to the pics of your 02. What are the plans for it?

well for now it will just be a dd car. i have a few things to pay off before i can start spending money on the car. i will most likely be saving all the cash i can until about christmas. i don't mind that though because i have been out of the world of '02's for so long i need refresh and up date my knowledge of the car.
i have been over on the '02 faq board a lot. i have to say i don't like the way that forum is put together. it is not as easy to find information over there as it is here.
i don't really want to jump the gun here and start blurting out all the stuff i want to do especially sins you can c right off the bat that it will involve springs shocks and wheels.
ill start a build thread as soon as i get the car.

I know! It really pisses me off that I need to replace my 30 dollar timing belt every 50 - 60k miles (well, ours can just snap, but.. hah)

How much are M42 timing components these days? at 150K miles I just spent 130ish bucks on timing parts...you guys bought what? one timing chain rail?
