Opinion on 335d?

I work for a local BMW dealership on Saturdays and I have got the chance to drive a couple of them.
VERY nice car, it pulls like there is no tomorrow, I did feel a bit of turbo lag but its almost unnoticeable and from the customers I have talked to they said they have been getting great fuel economy. It unfortunately does NOT come in a manual. I believe it has to use the six speed automatic from the previous generation v12 engined 7 series because of the massive amount of torque.

Going by my previous statement. I have a few pictures to convince you, of the engineering behind the scenes. Its the new eta with a 5k redline.
I love it I went for a test drive in one last weekend.
a 265-hp, 3.0-liter I-6 its a twin turbo also and it makes 425 pound feet of torque at 1,750 rpm's and pulls all the way to redline, which I think is crazy and the car is super smooth.
not the same motor as the inline 6 but it is similar in design.

Well, looks like I bought one of the last few 2009 model 335d's in the US.
I dont know about the options in detail but its good enough, whatever they are. Premium package at the least. Brought the old clunker in today.
$4500 for CARS turn in, $4500 BMW Diesel incentive, and a few thousand off because the guy wanted desperately to get rid of the car = $36,7.
I havent seen or driven it yet... but everyone else in my family apparently says its nice. uhg.

Congrats man! I guess it'd look a bit better with the sport pack, but you can't argue with anything from BMW that is $36k and isn't super base with cloth seats. It's something nice to have around, it's got a warranty, it's good on fuel, etc. etc.

Congrats on the 335d purchase!!! I've been following the newswire on this car since late last year. It's a real "have your cake and eat it too" proposition. Great 3-series handling (depsite the swelling in size & weight this line as taken on in recent years), lots of diesel torque, and very respectable fuel consumption considering its performance.
It sounds like you got a good price on the car too. If you happen to have an extra $600 burning a hole in your pocket, why don't you call the good folks at VAC Motorsport and treat your new diesel to its first accessory.....

link directs to the overall menu - was there something specific? I'm seriously all ears.
I'd like to "better" a few things but i really need this thing to be a comfortable long-hauler so suspension will be limited, other than a little lowering.
Edit: Intelligent Diesel Control Module, eh?Comment

Sweet...Watch out at some of the diesel pumps though. Some of them pump a lot faster than the gas pumps for filling up big rigs and what not....1988 325i Vert

Bingo. Nice shot in the horsepower & torque department.....plus its a plug-n-play affair so your hands won't get too dirty.
So if you're impressed with 425ft lbs of twist, imagine having 475 on tap plus more peak HP than a 335i
Not bad for $600.
Sorry about the fail link.
