^ just what i was thinking, try and spin at the crank bolt and see if it moves..then try to start with plugs out so the water will spit out...if it still doesnt turn over then the starter is probably fucked

hey, im not sure if anyone suggested this, but have you tried to crank it by hand? its simple, just take out the plugs, spray some seafoam in there, replace with new plugs, put it in gear, get a large wrench [may offroad guys will tell you] and crank on the alternator bolt really hard. make sure you go the right way, remember lefty loosie righty tighty.

fool proof test of the engine condition is a must,. i suggest enticing a car full of illegals into a race, for every baby killed the government will send you a blow up fetish goat!

have you torn the head off yet?
did you check out my build?
even if you get all the water out of the cylinders you may have toasted your main bearings and rod bearings

I guess try to make it start, you could leave the plugs out and hope it evaporates some, but likely it's gone.

You can always get lucky though.

I did it with snowmobiles all the time, doing watercross. You sink it you just pull the plugs, crank it over, spray WD-40 in and it starts right back up like nothing happened.

yea cranking the alt bolt really hard on a hydrolocked engine is brilliant.

It's wont budge. even with a 3 foot breaker bar on the crank.

              New motor:

Car it came out of - a 60k auto vert.

              Bonus time:

Jordan happened to know the owner of this car so I rang him up last night. The mileage is legit. One family car. It's still on it's orig t-belt so that's going to be changed today.

hey check out my thread i hydrolocked my engine and confirmed some things i didn't want to know but did know. my rod bearings and main bearings were fucked and my piston rings were evidently toast - with some butter i'd have a greasy pile of shit lol. as far as your old motor goes you should tear it apart for fun and discover just how fubar your bearings are.
