    Please solve my riddle

Well iv had this problem for a while now and I can't seem to figure what it is. Basically I have a random knocking noise from under the bonnet it is like a peace of metal knocking another peace, oh and it dose not seem to affect the car in any way its just annoying.

It will come and go when it is hot or cold,
Sometimes I hear it when I go over small bumps,
Sometimes I hear it when I go over big bumps,
Sometimes I can hear it when I move then car when it’s not on and sometimes when it is on,
I have checked the sway bars and most of the suspension.

    What is it?

haha I just released it’s a bit of a riddle I will re-arrange it so it looks like one.

Mmm maybe it could be the exhorst. I haven't checked beacuse every time i go to have a poke its hot. I don't think it would be though seems soild, and I just had my mechanice replace the engine mounts and he would have noticed if the extractors were loose.

Its very fustrating cos it can get quite loud sometimes and "when your crusin and your ride is knockn it an't a rockn". lol

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

                      the Fidhle blows.

remove both wheels and just do a visual inspection and clean some of the components it may help you find a potential problem and worn out components.

Ball joints? Get the front wheels off the ground and grab the top and bottom of each tire. Try to move each tire toward and away from the car. If you find any movement, somethings wrong. Find out where the movement is and you have found your problem.
