How about some custom ITBs, 2002 crank, headers, a schrick 292 or 304 cam, ect. 2002 guys are making 130 hp with megasquirt. I imagine with a cam, exhaust, and an aggressive intake you could up that a little. There are plenty of people making 150+ hp on m10s. Everyone on this forum would rather you drop in a 300k non vanos m50 with a clean valve cover and ebay purple SS headers.

6K on a newley rebuilt head. any quick cheap tweeks i could do to get more emuph?

"Carefull planning" is as to-the-point as I can answer. The 6k you just put in that head would have bought a complete e36 M3 motor conversion.

no lee meant 6k canadian which is about 300 bucks. thats reasonable for head. i paid far less than that for head from a canadian once

If you were to put a 300 cam, ITB's, Or dual webers you can make a good 150 wheel hp

anyway, foar a m10 i would put kittie litter in the block and run it for about 5 mins to break down the carbon deposits. after that you should add more ram to the ecu. reboot the ecu and then drive it around and see if it has made any difference. if it hasnt, try moar of step 1.
