I mean you need suspension and wheels, but not only that you know you want the JDM bumpers etc.

Then you're slow as hell... and you know you want a 20v or some other swap. And then... you're still pretty slow unless you chose boost.

A 325i is pretty quick stock, with some suspension you're looking at a fun car. I'd say spend a little extra and get a nice/clean 325i car and you'll be happy.

Or if you want to throw thousands around right away and make a quick project I'd get an ae86.

But honestly, if you have the modding mindset. Any car you get will require a lot of money to make exactly the way you want. So choose which car makes you smile more, go drive both.
yeah i was planning on swapping in a 20v or a 3sgte but the problem is finding an affordable corolla that hasnt gotten its ass beat in its past life

AE86 is as pure as car gets, none of that extra bullshit "posh". It's all about the person in the driver's seat. If you mess up, it messes up, if you got the skill, it will show. AE86 is amazing, and it's as close as you can get to pure driving. AE86 does not handle better, it simply showcases your abilities. It's very underpowered, even compared to 325e, but you cannot substitute anything for high rev shifts and the feeling you get. AE86 is a DD nightmare and depending where you live, sourcing parts will suck too. I would own one in a heartbeat along side my e30.
              beautifully said. cheers

I would get an e30, unless you plan on dumping alot of money into the ae just to make it decent. But please wait for an i to pop up, and never buy an e30 on impulse.

Get a decent chip (I'd recommend mark D, I personally love mine) 19lbers out of a tbird, Fix some things like the seats and afm mount, throw on plastic bumpers and choose a color cuz you might as well repaint it with the hood and quarterpanel and all. Fresh start on life for the car. All of these parts other than the chip can be had at a pick your part yard for cheap.
                            Jah bless! :pimp:

Unless you've got super eta pistons, do not slap an 885 on an M20B27. I just went over this.
