Hi I am kind of new on here but noticed you guys seem to be really into your E30's. I am just wondering why that is. I have an E46 M3 but used to own an E30 and I have to tell you the quality of and performance of the new cars is way better. If I was on a limited budget I would be all for an E30 but am really happy to make the step up to a newer model.

Just curious as to why guys chose an E30 over the newer models. Was it because you could not afford a newer model or because you like old cars?

Because it is faster and handles better then an e46 m3 :)

since I've owned my car, I've had 3 e36 M3 owners follow me to a parking lot to buy my car. The driver of an e46 M3 rear-ended someone while giving me a thumbs-up, a second e46 M3 owner dripping with Dinan parts offered to buy it, and people have taken videos/pictures randomly while driving around the street. I enjoy working on my car, and I enjoy having almost no debt on it, which I am sure is not the case for you. Hell, one of the first days at work one of my "bosses" started talking to me about it, then offered to buy it. He dailys an e46 'vert, and owns an e46 M3.

one last thing- people wave at me/my car on the road, and I wave back. I'm guessing you're one of those pricks that doesn't acknowledge a fellow car-guy's friendly wave.

Don't get me wrong guys I was really happy when my dad told me to go look in the driveway on my 16th birthday and there was a mint condition E30 M3 sitting there. The happiest day in my life though was when he took me to the dealer and bought me a brand new E46 M3 the day I graduated college.

I was really pissed when my 19 year old sister wrapped the E30 M3 around a telephone pole and destroyed it driving drunk.

Wheelhop: No real damage, just a love tap as he was pulling up to a stoplight and let his foot off the brake as he turned out the window. We talked cars for a while, and he let me drive it.. un-fucking-real. Really fun car. But, I still like mine better.
