    Totaled the e30. Bought a 1970 2002. Need Suggestions

I wrecked my e30 into the back of a truck that had first run into someone else. The car is totaled. A very sad day for me but I will look at this in a positive manner and see it as a sign to move onto a new project.

    Before:

    After:

So I picked up a 1970 2002. Pics to come soon.

It came with a fuel injection setup on the rebuilt m10. The engine has high compression pistons, a pretty hot cam(Dont remember the specs off the top of my head), and a header. The fuel injection set up consists of a set of Weber 40mm throttle bodies connected to a dcoe type manifold. The car also came with a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, wasted spark ignition and a throttle position sensor.

It is a very nice setup but it still needs a computer and wiring harness as well as a few odds and ends to get it going.

The decision i have to make is weather it will be worth it to buy the rest of what I need for the setup or just go with a set of dual 40mm sidedraft Webers.

The carbs will be easier to set up but the fuel injection would be bad ass. Both will be fast but the fuel injection maybe a little nicer to live with day to day.

What would I need to complete my current setup? Megasquirt? And will that run off a throttle position sensor and crank position sensor? And what do you estimate it would cost to set up the megasquirt? Anyone with experiance please lend me a hand.

Did you buy the car back???? Those rooms look nice dude!

My guess it would work with crank position sensor, but you'll probably have to make something of your own for that work with MS.

Cant part it out yet. The insurance is lagging on everything. When everything is available ill start a for sale thread.

What is everyones opinion on MS? Pretty cheap to get into but it seems like a steep learning curve.

Thanks. That looks nice but $1200 is too much right now. I'm up in the Santa Rosa area.

Damn shame about your E30.....looked like a sharp car. Buy that thing back if you can and salvage what's still good.

As for the 2002 - roundies ftw.
