What do you mean " it might be too much at this point?"
I just meant the cost might be too much. The stuff I have for the itb efi setup is $2000. I could sell that and buy sidedrafts... I need the insurance to get shit together already.

The car will be more driveable and get better gas mileage with a FI setup. I'd go with megasquirt and have it dyno tuned.

        +1

you dont HAVE to have ITBs, just try to keep costs low as much you can.

Right now it is looking like almost $350 for the computer plus $65 for the wiring harness, plus $88 for the stimulator. Then i need a crank position sensor and wheel and a wide band o2 sensor right? Plus relays and wiring and heatshrink and all that.

The carb setup is looking pretty appealing. I can get a set of dual weber sidedrafts for around $800-900... The efi would be pretty sweet but its looking like it may be a little too much at this point...

If you buy a pre built unit you won't need the stim, it's really only used for diagnosis of the MS unit itself.

Carbs will 1/2 the gas mileage, MS will increase it.

Throw a weber 38/38 on it until you get the efi working.

I think I'm going to go with the MS setup. Can I run the car off of a map sensor on the vacuum log and off of the tps? Will the map sensor get an accurate reading from the 4 throttle bodies? I know a lot of people run the map sensor with a single throttle bodie setup.

actually it can be used for setup and getting your MSQ right before you ever plug it in the car. everyone who is doing MS should have a stim, otherwise you'll have no idea if it really works or not.

I've seen guys with ITBs run a vacuum line to a 5 pronged T that leads to the MAP sensor. They say it works well. What are you going to do for spark? Ford EDIS? Check out 02again for cool MS parts.

If your want reliability and gas mileage why not swap in the m42 from your wrecked car?
The m10 is pretty much a lawnmower. Just throw some side-drafts on it and spend your money on upgrading brakes, 5 speed tranny, bushing etc.

Ive heard running MAP is a bit tricky when ITBs are in the equation, but Im sure it can be done.
Im running in Alpha-N mode with no problems.

MAP is often used for F/I cars.

I'd like to put my lawnmower up against whatever you got.:D

M42 swap is a good bit of work for not a lot of gain.

You can get plenty out of an M10 with cams and some DCOEs. It only sounds like a lawnmower when you blow out the exhaust mani gaskets.
