Have any of you guys with weaves repainted them? What have you used to strip the paint? I've gone through stripping the paint off some G35 7 spoke wheels and would never want to do that again (took hours and hours and hours). Is there a product that you have personally used to completely strip the paint off in one go?paint sucksComment

175/60R15 Dunlop Graspic snow tires.
Yeah. The ride height up front sucks. I need adjustable camber plates so I can get the stance I need. Maybe I should get the single row bearing GC plates for max drop.
Tires are actually 225/45R15 R-S3s on M3 weaves.

I unsubscribed from Fred's twitter so I forgot he was running 5 lug. I didn't know if those were 15" or just undersized tires on 14"... hard to tell sometimes. I'd love me some R-S3s but less sidewall just looks goofy, rides rougher on the street, and lowers the oilpan to more hazards. Who knows when the time comes for a new set of sporty tires.
Stock weaves FTW:

Found them on CL for $100 or something with used tires. Only like 2 pitted areas that arent really noticable.Comment

The M-systems are pretty easy to clean, as are the Konigs on the e30. Not really stock though.... I think the ACS's will be much easier ;)Comment

My 91 318i originally came with steelies which I painted, drove for a while and eventually sold off when I got a set of bottle caps with RT615 tires. I really liked the look of the steelies so when I found another set in the JY with good tires for $11 each, I had to have them. Stripped the bulk of the rust and brake dust with a wire wheel, then rattle canned 2 coats of rustoleum primer and 3 thin coats of hammered look paint. Not bad for $50 total out of pocket.
When I painted the first set of steelies, before and after. These had crap tires.

My current set of steelies. These have good rain tires with lots of tread. Potenza RE950 i think. Should last me a couple of years.
