Yeah, so the past few weeks at work have been unbelievable.
I am 18 years old. I am going to a local community college part time with no real aspirations or need for college. I am working for a locally owned cable company and as of right now, we are working on a project with 3COM setting up a Voice Over IP (VoIP) telephony system across a cable plant using a corporate phone system, the type used in major companies such as GM & Ford, for normal residential subscribers. We are basically a pilot program.
My boss, the general manager of the company, another tech guy, and myself are talking with 3COM about possible job opportunities working with the same VoIP systems we are going to be setting up for the company we work for, but doing it for 3COM.
The salary would be $100,000 a year plus, near the $120,000 mark. I would be relocationg to Long Beach, California. Even with the cost of living increase for California, me being single with no debt, I could easily do this.
As of right now, I was planning on leaving the company I am working for now and going to school full time come January at Kent State University, but with the way things are going, I might have a chance at getting out of Ohio sooner than I ever imagined.
I'd definitely be taking both of my e30's with me. My cabrio would love me.
