    I just cant win.

Every time I just about get a BMW back on the road or ready to sell, someone in the family wrecks one. My kids have wrecked 2 each and now I get a call Tuesday morning, my wife says she had a wreck. She truned in front of another car and totaled her Z3. I bought it for her almost 2 years ago and fixed eveything on it for her. It was a Christmas present. I told her I am not buying another one. She can drive the 90 325i that I will pick up from the paint shop today. It was the one my son ran off the road and it 2 trees. It was painted the other day and I am supposed to pick it up today.
The Z doesn't look real bad but it took a sideways hit in the front and shifted the frame rails. I told her I am not fixing another one. I try to get these older cars fixed and back on the road and try to make a little extra money but they are killing my profits. I am done with it.

She either drives the one I just got finished with or my truck or my E30 with the m50. I dont care for her to drive either. I wont let anybody dive my car. Too much work in it.

Well after the first one they had to help build the next car. The only reason they got another one is that the school is 20 miles from the house and I saved my wife and I a lot of headache.

why wouldn't you just have her buy herself another car? presumably you're gonna get some cash from the z3 being wrecked, have the wife buy something she likes, and that she can be responsible for maintaining. sounds like you've got enough on your hands, and everyone should be capable of owning and maintaining their own car, with the repercussions of not doing so being taking the good old two-foot express. walking everywhere can be a great motivator for taking care of your vehicle. this seems to work for most people, including wives & kids, i did it and i still do. maintain my cars that is, not walk.

Just get your wife & kids into "regular" cars & keep the BMWs for yourself & buying/selling purposes.

I agree, give them all civics and they'll learn to appreciate their BMWs

I told my wife after we settle with the insurance co. She can pick out what she wants with what they give us and no more. I don't care what she buys as long as its not an American pos car. I am not putting out any more money. She wanted a Z3 and I got her one. Now she has to find what she wants to drive. I have mine so she can pick hers out. She is driving my truck to work and it scares the hell out of me but I have not choice at this point. It either that or my BMW or my Motorcycle so the truck lost.
