    My E30 M3 stolen

Hey guys, I don't post a whole lot here, but I want to spread the word on my car being stolen in case parts start showing up.

here is the long story I wrote up after it happened:

yep that's right, it's gone... here is the story

on Wednsday my friend and I had a set of 2 sets of wheels and tires mounted and balanced. I washed the car REAL well (better than normal) and mounted the rims on the car.

We dork around all day doing random earronds around town, including picking up his camera to take some pictures. we go back to my house where my landlord happens to be home. Since he is a professional photographer, he offered to take some real pictures of the car.

We go over to a spot in downtown fresno, and take pictures until after sunset. I haven't seen the pictures yet since he had to tend to the fam and thanksgiving readyness, but I think they turned out awsome.

anyways after that, we cruise around a bit, then end up at a friends house for a few hour's. After his family kicks us out (has younger sisters) all of us go to another friends house, and just BS till around 1:00am.

From there I drop my friend off, go home and crash.

In the morning, I get ready to leave for sacramento to visit family for thanksgiving. My Mother and grandmother were to pick me up where I would drive them up to sacramento.

I walk out to wait for them at around 8:30 and see that the M3 is not parked in the driveway like normal

    WTF!

in about an hour a CHP officer shows up and makes a police report. He says that since the car seams to be rare, in his opinion, it's probably already stripped:sosad:

SO I've already started searching ebay and autotrader and such, but if anybody see's a silver M3 for sale, or any parts that seam a bit fishy, please please let me know so I can contact the authorities.

Also please get the word out so the car is less likely to disapear.

here are some pictures so they are a few months old, but the car was in the same state of apperance when I left it. I'll get pictures up of the photo shoot soon.

Here is a list of mods that were on the car when I last had it.

    Suspension:
    Ground control suspension (400/600lb springs)
    bilstein shocks
    GC rear shock mount towers
    GC camber plates
    sparco front strut brace
    SBI rear strut brace

    interior:
    black interior (door pannels)
    powdercoated silver 4-point roll bar
    Red recaro SRD style seats
    Fitipaldi stearing wheel
    AC schnitzer pedals
    carbon fiber dual guage a-pillar
    BMP center console guage cluster
    custom center console switch pannel

    Exterior:
    EVO III rear wing
DTM rear flipper (the big one)
E36 M3 LTW front carbon fiber splitter (pretty jacked up)
tinted windows on all windows minus windshield
    95 E36 M3 20 spoke "motorsport" wheels

stickers on the car to help possibly identify it:
www.dtmpower.net sticker on both rear side pop out windows
jeasus sticker in the right rear corner
"joshua wilderness institute" on rear window where the 3rd brake light is located

    ICE:
    alpine CDA-7874 head unit
    Focal coaxial speakers 130HC
Polk Momo tweeter in the stock tweeter location (sailboat pannel)
    Two Zapco refrence 150 amps

There is probably other stuff on the car, but that is all I can think of off the cuff.

If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading my EXTRA long post!

People that steal cars should have their balls cut off with rusty, dull hack saws, deep fried, and fed to them.

I hope you get it back man, although at this point, and considering the car, it doesn't look good. It was a complete mind-fuck when I wrecked my car. I can't imagine what it's like to have it stolen.

damn dude. that blows. is there a way to check vin numbers off of parts, so if we see parts we can possibly get the vin?

The only place there is a VIN on E30's I believe is on the dash and stamped into the firewall in the engine bay.

Mine has the vin in the door frames, inside the engine bay stamped in the firewall and obviously on the dash that I know of and I am sure there are other places.

I could have sworn there were more...
The Getrag 260 in my 325is had a VIN plate on it, which confirmed what the PO said about a newer swapped engine/tranny. I haven't gotten around to carfaxing the # though.

I saw the thread on bf.c too, sorry to hear about your M3 man. I hope insurance will pay out well for you.

Forgot about the doorframe. I think there may be others too, not entirely sure.

The VIN is stamped/stickered in at least 15 places on a e30.
