    BMW Drivers Own Zip Drives

I was at goodwill the other day and saw a brand new in the box with plastic wrap zip drive. As I looked closer, I noticed the keys sitting at the bottom of the picture.

Apparently BMW drivers were the only ones baller enough to own one back then.

Oh, and sorry for the crappy pictures, I took them with my cell phone.

I had an internal SCSI Zip.

I will take any USB 2.0 flash any day over that...

I had a zip drive that was "state of the art" at the time - and totally obsolete within a year or two. Nowdays, I'm a late, late adopter of technology, and I keep the stuff forever. I still use a laptop that was built in '97. I bought it in '99 and it still works great. My 12-year-old and myself fight over it for playing Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition.

Was looking for Halloween costume stuff. It was fun though taking a stroll down memory lane looking at all the old electronics. There was a Dreamcast controller, a Netgear 56K modem/switch that was actually made of metal, and a bunch of other really cool old electronics.

Yeah I go there from time to time to look for NES/SNES/N64 games. I managed to snag a second NES Duck Hunt Zapper for $2.50!

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

Zip drives were the shit when they 1st came out. Jazz drives on the other hand were crap.
