you could dump some raw fuel down the intake to see if it will fire to eliminate any electrical problems if it fires

Tell him: Bro's before hoes - and if a friend is stranded then I don't care if that hoe is your wife, you get up off your ass and help. You can get your 2 min blow job later.

Sorry to hear about your breakdown, someone here should come and give you a hand.
If you had a multimeter you could figure a lot of this out and troubleshoot a bit more, i myself keep a 100 lb toolbox with complete set of tolls to do everything on the e30 except odd things like rebuilding a diff
If you really say you had a low battery, although you can still have 11 volts, which should start the car-it is a point of diminishing return and the battery can crank the starter but not have enough power to get the car running even at around 11.3v.
First thing first, you can check to see if the pump is working and is being energized by jumping pins 30 and 87 (power in and power out ignoring 85 the ground, and 86 the switch) with the car off. This will tell you by listening, hell even feeling the feed line going to the rail pressurizing (not the return from the FPR mind you). This will just tell you that your pump is able to be powered up but doesnt tell you how much pressure you are getting (thats where 30 dollars of goodies to make your own FP tester comes in handy). A clogged fuel filter can be bypassed.
Does this tell you that you have eliminated a fuel problem? Mostly, but you can still run on 5 injectors, even 4 but will run like absolute crap.
Take your time and relax, check your fuses, check the crank trigger sensor on the front of the engine if you have a super eta or 325i, make sure your coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing is connected, as is your AFM connection.
Usually a bad FPR doesnt just give up on the ghost, you can check spark by laying your ignition wire right over the battery and using a small piece of metal like an allen key and make it go into the actual wire and leave it floating above the valve cover with a .005" to .060" gap preferred and look for a spark.
Coils USUALLY dont go bad, the rest of the general spark system would be the ECU (rarely fail), i mentioned crank trigger sensor or flywheel reference sensors if you have an eta, ignition switch, the actual rotor disintegrating, fuses, and thats pretty much it for the easy trouble shooting part.

Thought id mention all of this since it could be spark or fuel, but i havent seen your car to know :D

                  Godspeed sir!

Eff it I got a friend to pick me up. I think I'll bribe a mechanic to come out with me tomorrow to make sure I get it home. Thanks to all I'll do research tonight and get as many ideas as I can to try out tomorrow. Thanks again people, even though noone took me up on my gas and in and out offer... Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my car running.

E30 nate helped me figure out what was wrong with the car. Turns out that the pumps are getting power but aren't turning on so I'm gonna replace the intank pump and the exterior one with pumps from pick a part unless I can find someone on the forum who has both pumps in good working order that I can pick up. Thanks for all the help diagnosing the problem and especially E30 Nate coming out and helping me figure out what the deal was. Hopefully tomorrow the E30 will be running again. So anyone have the intank and exterior pump in socal, I can pick up tomorrow?

PM me if ya'll have the pumps, cause I'm tired as hell.

Update on project fixmycarbeforeschool...seems the electrical gremlins have taken a liking to my car. So it's now in a shop waiting for a full diagnosis of what might be the problem tomorrow. So, buy my seats and crap so I can actually pay for the damned thing and get it back. Thanks again for all the info and help.
