Anyone have experience with these seats?

My slider is all messed up and vinyl is starting to rip. I might just upgrade rather than fiddle with the oem seat. Anyone have any experience with these? Similar to the ones on 2002 website..

They're just recovered E30 sport seats, they are OEM. They came as part of the sport options package on the E30 (318iS, 325iS, 325eS).

I'm not a fan of them (as you can see by my sig), but most people love them. They're great seats, and a direct bolt in.

Those seats only came in Cabrio's and M3's.

Its probable (and likely) that they were just recovered with horizontal stitching.

                  false.

Though m3 and cabrio seats have the same horizontal stitching they are different seats. The m3 seats have the forward recline grip higher and recline further back than the cabrio seats IIRC.

I really like those, really comfortable and supportive. You can get some junkyard ones and reupholster them for cheaper than that price.

Wonder who that guy is he has tons of stuff and his location is pretty close to me.

OK, then I should have said that the following statement is incorrect: "They came as part of the sport options package on the E30 (318iS, 325iS, 325eS)"

Those style of seats (horizontal stitching) came only in Cabs and M3's and not with with any "is" or "es" car AFAIK

BTW, I bought a pair of Cabby with seats with working seat heaters in very good condition for $250.00 from a seller on craigslist a few years back when I swapped my interior from Navy to Black.

They are not as minty as those in the eBay ad, but they are about an 8.5/10

man, and you all wonder why e30 guys get a cheap ass reputation. do the following and then come back and tell me those seats are priced too high.

1 go to the pick and pull and remove 2 e30 seats
2 research and find a guy who will upholster them with quality materials and nice seams
3 pick them up and drag them back to your shop
4 list them on ebay and pay all their ridiculous listing, final sales fees and paypal fees
5 go get packing material and box them up and arrange shipping
6 take the risk that fedex or whoever will fuck your shit up and refuse your claim
7 take a trip to Tahiti on your massive profits off your sport seats.
sometimes i wish vendors would quit selling e30 parts and tell all you broke ass baggypants to go fuck yourselves

Get a quote on getting two seats fixed/recovered in new material and you'll see that paying $1k for a pair shipped isn't too bad if you want stockers. You should see how much some other OEM seats cost lol.
