I would prefer a flat bar, would look less intrusive.

well I kind of started today, I'm trying a round bar first because I had one laying around and its the right length and looks pretty nice. I got some measurements and I'm going to need to by a piece to go where the plate holes are, it will look pretty tough when its done, I didn't realize how far apart the license plate holes were until I actually tried making the bar.

pics... just the bar done for now, but everything is going to plan and its looking great so far, I held it up to the front of the car and loved how it looked. This is made out of metal I already had so I don't remember how much I paid for the metal but when I get more metal I'll let you guys know how much it will cost.
of course I can make a few different designs but the round bar will work the best and can fit the biggest variety of lights.
right now its pretty light weight

If you drive your e30 on stairs, you're gonna have a bad time.

.....pull wiring through support bar so its invisible?
I'm more than willing to include lights with the bar because I live very close to summit racing and they deliver within 24hours to my house.
