so my sister wrecked the 318ti *project completed pg2*

was wet, she lost control, did at least 2 360s from what i hear. Basically its totaled, but we are fixing it. It will be at the frame shop on friday and parts were already ordered. I should have it put back together by christmas granted all the parts show up.

Just wondering what to do about painting as it is cold here and i cant paint it without a heated workspace. My dad was going to have it painted professionally, and that is probably the best thing considering I dont have heat. I guess we will pass that bridge when we get to it. So far parts tally is just under a grand, and that doesnt include the cost to fix the frame and paint. So we are probably looking at around 2k.

my friend and i are working on it. had it stripped in about an hour and a half. fun stuff.

You're gonna try to fix a car that's that far gone?

Look at the front framerails. That's a LOT of frame time right there.

Don't bother. Just total it, and buy another with the insurance.

Even after putting a car on a frame puller, it's never going to be 100% straight again, and it will never be as strong.

Dude... its a worthless car, and its 3x as worthless now. Don't put any money into fixing a car with zero resale value.

An e36 with a rebuilt title can be sold for more than your average e30.

we have liabilty only, and way too much on the insurance bill as it is. That car costs us 25k in 95 and is worth more to us than it is to anyone else, we are not going to sell it. So we are going to get our money's worth. Put it together and run it till it breaks. We know it will never be perfect.

I can see why some of you believe what you do, and yes it would be much easier to buy another car, but my dads exact words to my sister two weeks ago were, "you cant wreck that car now because i cant afford to get you another car." If money was not an option this would be another story.

I for one love the ti's.

Especially if you drop in a differnent power plant. Much more fun... and better than other e36s. :D

The Ti's actually have a much higher resale value than most of the regular e36's.
