Is joining BMW CCA worth the $40 a year?

I like the roundel. Besides that, if you already know how to work on your car, you can do without being a member.

yeah, but everything is still cheaper from BMA with the free R3V discount.

I'm in my local chapter for the auto-x and driving events. Good shit.

yeah, but most of the maintenance parts you can get for less online. Only dealer exclusive item I have is the e30 sunshade. I was able to some contacts to local parts suppliers after joining the cca.

I've been a member for a few years now. Not much of the Roundel gets my pulse racing.....I usually start at the back with the classifieds and work my way towards the front cover. Another benefit of being a member gets you discounts on parts from the dealer, but I have a few on-line sources of independent parts vendors that usually beat the dealer discount price....sometimes by a significant amount. Then there's you local club chapter which gets together (usually every month) and will plan such events like tech sessions, scenic drives, swap meets, racing, etc.

Perhaps you could get in touch with your local chapter and sit in on a couple of meetings to see if joining is something you really want to do

Its worth it for Roundel alone.

I'm curious about the Roundel...how great of a mag is it? Is there much in the way of e30s anyhow?

Edit: check the Round classifieds. Usually several parts/wheels stuff.

if you do a single track event, with the discount you get from CCA, the membership will pay for itself many times over.

That's why you just call them. Patrick will give you the discount.
