well the m20 is out, I started about 10:30 and took my time and had the engine out around 2 ish. To bad I'm redoing the rear suspension or I could of had the m30 in and running today also. I'm going to be gone till the 23rd so the 24th the suspension comes off and urethane mounts, and a m3 rear sway bar go in.
m30 swap has begun!

hopefully, I just hit a snag. I HATE 1988 WIRING. My 88 car dosn't have the three row connector for the obc fuel cut, and the other two wires. They are built into the c101 but only in 88 in 89 it got the plug, my engine has the 3 row plug so I'm going to have to do a good bit of splicing.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

it plugged right into the 87 325is no wiring needed at all. 88 is the only one different in 89 they go back to the normal plugs. I think I found a solution though. On that 3 row plug in the glove box, on the 88 those wires are run threw the c101 instead, on the 87 the pins are unused so I just ordered a couple new pins, and will put those on the engine harness side and run wires from there to the white plug in the glove box.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker
