        How much does it cost?

'cause if it's more than 50 bucks, waste of money imo.

Ripoff price for a practically unnoticeable and utterly useless modification.

I'll never understand why people spend so much money on modifications that ultimately do nothing for the car. Members of the Z community do a plethora of similar modifications...and I have trouble understanding why.

Who cares? I think it looks better and ordered a new set from blunt on here. Why do people put on an iS Front lip or iS rear spoiler? Worthless part that simply looks better.

No reason to do 95% of the mods for any car. That is the point of modification. Make the car better for 'you'... the owner.

                      $205 for a side-marker delete..

                      C'MON!!!11!!

And IMO, is lips and spoilers are a worthless mod as well. And I didn't tell him not to do the "Euro-trim" mod...I just said that if it costs more than $50, and serves absolutely no purpose other than to slightly change the appearance of the car in such a minor fashion that only he is likely to notice it, then it's a ripoff.

i pretty much decided to keep my reflectors.
My friend just got into an accident in his e46 coupe. his unforunate accident proved to be a good PSA for me.

Like a lot of people on this board, he has euro reflectors and clear signals. So as he was pulling out of the parking lot at night, someone drove straight through his car damaging the front entirely. At the end of the night, the SUV driver that nailed him said didn't see any indictation that his car was pulling out. I don't want to jump to conclusions but had the SUV's low beams reflected on the area of the bumper where the reflectors are, the accident could've possibly been avoided..

Essentially the SUV driver wasn't paying attention, and frankly, if you didn't see a car, a bit of reflected light wouldn't have helped. Last I checked they didn't make a light eating paint. Furthermore, why wasn't your friend paying more attention. Accidents are not avoided by reflective plastic-rather driver awareness. You could paint all the cars on the road bright orange with sparkles on top and it wouldn't stop people from running into each other because they wheren't paying attention.

I understand your concern, yet I don't believe the reflecter will save you any accident when it comes to retarded people and/or not paying attention.

In regards to the "any mod over $50.00" bit, it's not your money. I wouldn't criticize you if you per se liked Dill Wheat Bread and I didn't see a reason for spending the extra 35 cents for a barely recognizable taste when you could just have standard wheat for cheaper. Unclench, please.

                              1) his car is murdered out pretty much. Black car.. weak headlight output is pretty weak in the dark isn't really a good combination especially if its at night in the city of SF.

2)) they're CA drivers and yes we are horrible drivers, particularly the SUV drivers its rather ironic because both Luxury brand and SUV drivers here in CA drive like they own the road so both are idiots in this case so. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprise if both of them were playing chicken in the parking lot

                              3) this is my 2nd e30 and they are getting more rare and expensive here. I don't think my heart can take another accident. especially when insurance will argue to death that the car is worth much less than it actually is.

Regardless, you have a good point. This is my 3rd car that I had to go through and I've just developed a sense to maximize my security even if it is just an itty bitty reflector.

hahaha, same reason we put map light mirrors in our cabrio, convert to euro bumpers, paint the valve covers, install smileys, upgrade to bigger wheels, Z3 shifters, add 'is lips, and spend time and money keeping our babies clean.

because we can and its all about individual taste. Go buy a boring Volvo like my mother did....and save that $205.
