Yeah that MAG Chloried sucks ass, Supposed to be easier on cars than salt. The shit will eat the chrome of a hitch ball.

I grew up in the mid west with salt, and it works better and less corrosive than chloride.

It was sadly a color that never made it over to the US. It was a true Grey market car, imported from Germany.

There isnt enough Ice on the road for the road crews to be out yet. This spot just happens to have the right conditions for black ice to come about.

they usually do all the freeways and on/offramps here as soon as the temp hits freezing. there doesn't have to be any ice. Is it that much different in your county? you're barely 50 miles away.

they're also not appropriate for freezing temps as you found out. sticky performance summer tires get hard when the temperature drops. Snow tires stay soft.

I've been where you are though. it sucks. but you'll move on (to another E30, hopefully).
