Ya, I wish I would have left my snow tires on.

Some how all the wheels and tires looked like they survived.

Good reason to have a DD/beater around, this wouldn't have been a tragic loss if it were a big-bumpered M10 car. Save the euros, don't drive them after November.

Man that sucks. I came stopped by this last summer and chatted with you where you work. I was roaming in my White 318is the day I came over. I really liked your car. Glad your OK though.

I'm speechless. That's a brutal looking accident, and it's been said, but it REALLY is such a good thing that you walked away from it. I live in Orting on a huuuuge hill and as soon as December 1st rolls around, I park the e30's unless I absolutely have too. And at that, I try to keep a set of winter/studs kicking around the garage.

Black ice is one of those things that you have to be super careful of and even then, it's probable that if you hit it, you're ending up somewhere you don't want too. I had a run in last winter in my '84 ETA while I was coming down said giant hill. Spun four times before contacting the JUST installed guard rails about half way down in the S-bend. Luckily, I was already going slow and such. I can't imagine it at 45-50mph.

Get yourself checked out and don't act tough if you feel sore or odd at all, man. My buddy was in a wreck and walked away. Two hours later he just died. The medical examiner said he was dead on impact but the adrenaline in his system kept him alive. His whole chest was crushed. So, moral is, get yourself checked thoroughly.

Again, hope you get what the car is worth and glad too see you alive. My condolences on the car!

Well its been a few days now, so I think I will be alright.

At Absolute most there is a hairline fracture in my Tibia, which I am not to concerned about.

And sadly I am one level below comprehensive on my insurance plan.

So medically I am completely covered, but I am going to get nothing for my car.

Can't imagine anything worse than finding out a friend/relative was in a crash but is okay, only to have that happen. That's just terrible.
