It's $225 if you have a business account with them, too. Or is that the price for the general public?

I have a custom 3" with Remus DTM's (No Cat) I love the burble when idle,
jesus, It reminds me of a built eight when I take off. No whine like rice, just
a roar. Not too loud even, which is suprising since no cats. The guy who
did my pipes did a damned efin good job.

Was it a local shop? We don't live too far away from each other.

kinda off topic i have a guy who love to work on bmw , and he has a shop that he can "fix" my cat, by romoving all the stuff inside and leaving it empty, we have no emissions test here, does removing the cat do anything ?

that essentially turns you cat into a test pipe. If your state doesnt have the sniffer test, but does visual inspections, its a good bet. Exhaust noise will go up a bit, and you'll probably pick up some power.

Hollow cat = less power, why the air flow becomes turbulant not smooth. A sleeved cat would flow better than a hollowed one. Our cars do just fine with a cat so unless it is blocked don't become a gross polluter please as there is no need for it.

I have the Remus with large diameter tips, msds headers, and stock cat setup. Its got a great sound. Not too loud, not a significant amount of vibration. When pushing it hard, its still not significantly loud but you can definitely hear it. I do set off alarms in parking garages but not in street parking lots unless I gun it next to a parked car.

I'll be replacing my cat with straight pipes and a resonator. I'll try to post a recording.

The Remus was on the car when I bought it so I have no idea what the cost would be. Its a nice exhaust though.

Remus equals very big dollars. Reason why they wanted good sound and numbers (hp and tq) but needs to come under Switzerlands decibel numbers, I think the max DB number was 81 dB. Nico might know the exact number.

Glad I didn't have to pay for it. I like the way it sounds though.

Brullen makes great universal exhausts, good prices, I highly recommend them.

Try this one out. Looks like a pretty fair deal.

                              Talking about Remus.

Could I use it in my 1988 318i AUTO?

                              Something about backpressure?
