    M30 Swap Is completed!!!!

Wooo Whoooo I just took it for it's First Real drive(yesterday was the first drive but a Bad FPR and a wire Slipping of the starter cut it short). I replaced the FPR and the wire on the starter and the thing runs great. It will Spin the tirew threw Second gear no problem(driving in the rain will be interesting). Minus a slight hesitation in first taking off from a Dead stop it runs and drive great. Total so far has been $2800 The exhuast still needs welded on so I'll round it to $3000

Oh Details for anyone who cares.
    -1984 633csi motor and Tranny
    -1987 325e Driveshaft(no modifications required)
-1987 325e Engine Harness(4 wires needed added to work with the 88 chassis)
-E34 oil pan, pump, alternator, brackets
    -E30 Power steering pump
-Mix of e30 and E28 coolant hoses
    -E28 535i 5-speed Radiator
-16 3600 CFM Electric Fan in Front of the radiator
-Full Dual Pipe Exhuast all the way back

'84 633csi power.....in terms of power & torque, what does that spec out at stock? Did you implement any mods? Those big 6s are torque mills. Enjoy frequent rear tire replacement

181 Hp 195 Ftlbs Torque. So Far the Only mods will be the Exhuast and a Shielded Cold Air intake. The Next Mod will be converting the Engine to Motronic 1.3 off the 208 hp 225 ft lb torque E34/E32 M30 Engine. I'll do that Probally in March or April. I'm guesing that will give me a 10-20 hp Gain at the Crank without a Chip. I would just Chip the stock ecu but no one makes a chip for it. Plus I prefer Motronic 1.3 and it's adaptive Nature.

Yep I think the 318i Sheet metal shifter consule and selector would work also with no shortening needed. Plus My self and George Have proven the e30 engine harness will Work.

I got it off ebay advertised as an E46 Cold air intake, The pipe Looked like it had the right bend I'd need. The box I made my self and will have it copied in Plastic sometime once I seal it better.

Kick ass, bet it's fun as hell with power and torque to back it up.

How long did it take you once you had all the parts and began the swap?

Well The m20 came out Thursday the 16th of December, I then was gone for a week, The m30 went in Sunday the 26th, I ran the engine the 29th but didn't drive it till the 31st as I cracked the Thermostat housing and needed a few more things fromt he Dealer. Then the 1st I massaged out all the problems. So Just around a week of actual work time on the car.
