              Yes, I wondered about the 318 sheet metal shifter console. I picked one up at the junkyard. I dont think it will need any shortening either; but the bolt holes don't line up with the larger transmission holes such as the 265.

                Hum, Maybe if you Change those two rubber mounts. I actualy could of gotten away with not cutting the stock consule but the shifter would be further back then stock.

                        Ya I had to do that to my car. Why you use the older motor. We had the motor out of a 91 in ours. i am getting ready to do it agian and mod the motor this time.

                          It was either the 3.3 or the 3.5 I didn't find any 3.5 at the time in My Price range when I was looking. So i went with the 3.3 and I love it. I heard the 3.3 was a much easier engine to drive around as it makes power every where. No waiting for it to come onto the cam. Plus the 12 lb stock flywheel is Nice :twisted:

                                wow... that's different from the i driveshaft? wierd. i've forgotten if you did your own mounts or got the german ones... since you said you hammered the firewall a lot, i'm guessing you ended up somewhere around "position 3" (farthest back)?
