    • ripped the antenna wire in half and then attempted to twist them together. didn't hold.
    • cut all the springs in half
    • zebra cloth center console
    • radioshack fog light switch
    • absolutely none of the electrical "work" had even electrical tape over it, just exposed wires
    • took off one windshield wiper to add more super jdm stickers
    • installed the shifter linkage backwards
    • ghetto wired radio and a bunch of stupid stuff under the dash.
    • never ever ever ever washed. seriously probably not even once. the paint was bubbling and peeling.

overall just a really shitty PO

Nothing too crazy, but he did have a test battery gauge from autozone drilled into the center console and hooked up to a speaker wire so that when the bass hit, so did the gauge

    1. Bought a swapped car where PO made his own conversion harness. The wiring was done well, but he made the wiring to the c101 roughly a foot and a half too long. It's cosmetic but it drives me nuts.

    2. Left a sway bar link disconnected. Prompted me to check all suspension components. Only issue I found luckily.

    3. The PPO resprayed the car an unknown shade of single stage metallic. It's a nice color, but it has some orange peel that I can't wet sand. It should be a fucking crime to use single stage metallic.

First owner- ordered it as an auto
Second owner-did some uber getto wiring
Third owner- is a member of this board and did the manual swap
The only things that really made me mad
Was that I overheated- but a new raditior fixed it not a big deal and the bushings in the back are bad but I guess that's kind of normal

my PO put on a backwards fuel filter, so for a month the car would die at random when running it hard and i would have no idea

Wow my car has less problems than I thought.. When i bought it, it had an idle problem (needed the Idle control module and idle control valve) Interior isnt the most comfortable, its ripped all over on the front and rear seats. no stereo and no rear speakers. Not sure if the front speakers even work still. Suspension needs to be replaced asap (the shocks and springs are the original ones from 1984) Needed new tires since they were bald(bottlecaps had curb rash as well) Has some rust in various places around the car. The worst is the wheel wells. Cracked hood emblem, silver trunk emblem, no wheel emblems. Ripped shift boot. Speedometer doesnt work, miles per gallon gauge blows its fuse a lot. Turning on the high beams turns off my drivers side low beam. I think thats it so far.

Everything. I had to replace everything except the crack-less dash. I only blame myself for buying it though lol..

PO of my car told me brillantrot was clear coated. I took one look at it and knew for sure it wasn't. He owns a body shop.
He also claimed that the tb on his previous e30 went to, I believe, 300 thousand miles, and there's no way they're necessary before 100k. Other than that...nothing really.

On my dad's e30 there's some stupid wiring running through the passenger footwell above the carpet. My guess is that it's for the sub that was in the trunk at some point. Honestly I don't think that that one was him. The worst thing he did was repaint the entire car, shaving the roundels, 3rd brake light, and antenna hole (all of which I like), but didn't remove the bump in the gas lid.

We both got pretty lucky compared to most of the others in this thread.

Hot-glue gunned the torn intake boot
Drilled holes in the interior floor to instal e36 comfort seats
    Destroyed the radiator with stop-leak
Ran yards of wiring to hook up shitty speakers
Lamin-x high beams (looked like he drew on it with a sharpie)
    Cut the stock springs
Smells like he pissed on the carpet

I'm pretty sure my car has had the shit driven out of it.. After the engine refurb I discovered 3rd gear didn't work.

This is going to be a long project, but will be well worth it in the end.
