The only real answer is the part that's the most worn out.

Really, I don't know, my car is on its 3rd set of control arms, 4th or 5th set of tie rods, 20th set of tires and 3rd set of rear sub frame bushings. They all wear differently, depending on conditions and how you drive.

      Yep.

Ball joints with play will be OK. If you have a torn subframe bushing, it will not make a TACTILE bit of difference. You will not feel it through the rack. The car will clunk and when it is loaded up in a corner it will handle unpredictably.

If you have bone stock control arm bushings and they are torn, it will make a bigger difference than ball joints with play in them.

Bald tires will feel ridiculously dangerous.

Moral of the story: there is no BEST wear part to replace. It's like saying, what treatment should I give this fatass gunshot victim that straggled into the ER? Yes, maybe he needs some statins to reduce his 300 cholesterol. But he's bleeding from his stomach and will die in 15 minutes. And this fatass woman complaining of back pain? Well, she probably needs statins too. Maybe weight loss is the long term solution to chronic back pain, but maybe she has meningitis.

If your belt needs replacing and you don't Your car wont drive with that motor anymore. Essentially your motor will perform exactly the same until the the second the belt breaks. At that point the timing will become off causing metal parts to run into each other....

I joined r3v to learn about the car I love. If you think me and redstar are wrong then just explain it to us.

This thread was a learning thread. To teach people how important tires are to a car. If your car feels terrible try some new tires. No matter how amazing you car is if you don't have better tires it may not stay on the road.
