Insane BMW drift video

i LOVE the way the e30 is bouncing around in the stand still at the start.. and the sparks.. lol
wonder what engine the e30 is running it has 320i badges but it shows a bit of something, cant tell what it is tho..

check out frame 5:23...... one E30 is running a M50... Anyway, there is oni 1 E30 in the video...
and the sparks, I guess the tyres are worn to the wire mesh aledi...

It looked to me to be 2 E30s. The cars in that video were from Austria(at least the license plates were) It looked like the track was either in poland or Chech. It is actually quite popular over here in germany for a group of (friends) to get together and rent a track in a east block country for the day. I was invited last year to Chech with a group of really rich guys but didnt make it, only wanted 200 euros to join in for the day.

It looked to me to be 2 E30s.

i think there might be 3.. a black one, a silver one, and a silver with yellow sticker, (the last two might be the same car..?)

in this brake drift, do they not use clutch..? simply weight transfer, brake/ accelerator?
and what the long shifter achieve?

If you do it correctly it's about weight transfer, and accelerator to keep it spinning.

The longer shifter is so that your hand only needs to be off the steering wheel for the minimum amount of time possible. That way you can bring your hand right back to the wheel, and you don't need to be reaching for the shifter.

Did you guys notice the tall shifter in the E36 with the deep dish steering wheel? Now that's tight.

I noticed that too, got an I.D. on those parts?


the wheel looks to be an OMP I think.

If you do it correctly it's about weight transfer, and accelerator to keep it spinning.

The longer shifter is so that your hand only needs to be off the steering wheel for the minimum amount of time possible. That way you can bring your hand right back to the wheel, and you don't need to be reaching for the shifter.

You brake to shift the weight foward. If you time it correctly, you'll have the rear end light enough to ave the rear end come out when you start turning. However too much will slow you down too much and the rear end wont come out, and too little will make you understeer.

A new control arm at my dealer is $145
But of course my dealer is the most exspensive there is
always twice as much as in Germany
