    Long drives=sore back?

I got this with my old stock non sport seat and still now with my recaro se. The left side of my back starts to hurt a lot, numbing my leg after drives that are 2 hours plus.

Does this happen to anyone else?

    Sold it.

No, the stock sports seem almost perfect, could be a bit narrower but I have plenty of support and no pinching anywhere. Done many hours with no problems.
    Im now E30less.

Ya my stock sport seats work great. My gf's E36 seats, on the other hand, blow. My ass starts hurting after about 20 minutes.
I retired my E30 for now...

When driving for long periods of time in my sport seats, my lower back often feels awkward. Shoving a rolled towel between me and the seat usually does the trick.

I was usually just fine in my sport seats on long drives. However, the Vaders in Jordan's E30 and in his Mom's E36 M3 start to hurt my lower back after a while.

Could it be how you are sitting?

Drove to Hofstra Univ, New York from Washington D.C. with no comfort problems! Sport seats are amazing.

A friend of mine had this issue and went to one of these "back" stores where they sell all kinds of ergonomic things. He picked a lower back support cushion/pad that is made of that memory foam material. Although it cost him around $75, he says its been worth it. Night and day difference.

You might have a back issue if it only affects the one side of your body.

It could be the way you're sitting.

There are a lot of things it could be.

On the 900 mile drive to Michigan almost every summer, I notice two discomforts in my 318....lack of lower back support (E30 sport seats), and no cruise control (sore foot for a while)
