Stock for stock a 135 is already quicker around a track then a caymen, boxter s, so why would anyone choose one over the 135? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeahQyxfvxY
A true lsd would be a nice addition though.
Also, BMW is never going to make a 2700 pound $3000 car, like most seem to bitching about on here. Get over it and welcome to the current century. They build cars for the masses not e30 enthusiasts. It’s a premium brand whose core market demands premium options and the price reflects that. People just are not interested in light weight low option cars. People want a car with cup holders, dual climate, etc etc etc, and last but not least LOTS of safety features that add weight and $$$ to the cost of a car. Welcome to automobiles of the 21 century folks. I think it looks like a great car and I was very impressed with the 135i when I’ve driven them. Is it an e30? Of course not. But its truly one of the best cars in its price point on the market for combo daily/tracking. This M/Tii version looks to be outstanding.

This M/Tii variant looks nice, but not 61k nice. If someone wants a toy like that, they'll buy a lotus, boxster, caymen or something in that range.

The P-car perception man, Some people dont really care about the numbers they care about the badge. P-Car = more waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles than the entry level BMW Sorry thats just how the masses see it .;
You can get a 2 year old c6 Zo6 for this kinda money and wax anything on that list. I love the 135I I really want one but will wait for a few more years till they are in the 14-18k range. If I was spending 30+K on a fun performance car it would be a Zo6

A c5 Z06 is 18k. Find another car that can hang at that price point.
Vettes kick ass.

AMEN... Just look at what e30s cost new. Would you seriously go to a dealer and pay $49k(30k in 1990 is ~49k today) for a e30 325is when you could have a LOADED 135i for 5k less. I love the e30 but even if it came standard with an s52 I would be hard pressed to buy a new one over a 135i.e30sport.net

3300 pounds is not lite. Hell the e60 530i weighs 3400lbs. So why does a car that is way smaller with far fewer options weigh the same.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Yeah, less HP and more weight then 135i!!!!!!
I'd be all over one except for the weight. Even the 2.0 R-spec or whatever is still going to be in 3300lb range with only 210hp.
That's pretty fucking lame in my opinion.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
