For a daily driver, you might as well go with a 4dr for the slight gain in practicality. Not only is it easier to load objects into the interior(in many cases), but you also won't have to get out of the car when a 3rd or 4th person decides to ride along...one of the most annoying things about a coupe.
Also, coupes become a problem if you ever have to drive older people with bad backs (who'll have trouble climbing through the interior), or when you have to strap in car seats for kids, and you're contorting yourself to get everything buckled down properly.
You might not have to deal with any of these things, but in the words of Amy Poehler, "Bitch, I don't know your life!"
I own both, and the only difference driving wise is a slightly lower seating position in the coupe.
If you had the choice what would you buy?

I like the 2 doors more visually, but if its meant to be a practical DD, i don't see why 4 door should be out of the question. Plus you can do mad doriftos with the 4 doors added rigidity, which is why TDE30 loves them so much.Leave a comment:

A good man knows his limitations. For those not confident and who don't have time/space/inclination/tools to learn, it would be best to leave it to the pros.
I'd rather not have n00bs out there messing around with brakes and suspension stuff when they don't know their arse from a spanner.
Please. It takes a juniorhigh education to be able to wrench on cars professionally. Anyone with some determination can do it. Someone well-off-enough to be able to pay the pros for projects most probably has the mental capacity to not royally fuck things up. "time/space/inclination/tools" are excuses for someone in a decent socioeconomic position.Leave a comment:

I would have picked the ix. Because its rarer, kind of a novelty for having a AWD sports sedan in the 80s.
Pros : AWD
M20
looks a bit better IMO with the larger fender lips.Leave a comment:

Maybe you would enjoy your cars more if you did some of the actual work on them and didnt just cut a check... just a thought.Leave a comment:

Voted the 318is. I own one, so maybe I'm a little biased. They are definitely underpowered, but they make great dailys and are fun to drive. I'm not a fan of the 4-dorr b-piller; it makes the car feel really small. An iX would be fun, too, though.Leave a comment:
