Webber should start in the Red Bull air races, or maybe join the Crusty Demons with his Red Bull backing... He did start on motorbikes back in the late 80's?? haha

for the sole purpose of improving overtaking opportunities during the race. The driver may only activate the adjustable bodywork in the race when he is less than one second behind another at any of the pre-determined positions around each circuit.Tim.Comment

It seems like a bit much for the drivers to keep track of to me. Brake bias, kers, adjustable wings, engine settings etc all done at 150mph plus. But if the drivers are cool with it so am I. I don’t think the speed difference is all the great, I mean ALMS and Rolex have HUGE speed diff, it’s just a matter of drivers getting used it. Although I do feel the slow cars do take away from the action. I am also happy kers is coming back, to me F1 is as much a technical marvel as anything else, and kers adds just a little more to the technical innovation of the sport. I would also like to see the engine development ban lifted. A major point of f1 is R&D for these company’s and by restricting development of major components like engine building a huge benefit of being in the sport for manufacturer is lost. The engine freeze was a large factor of why BMW pulled out.Comment

I agree on the technical development front - that's what F1 is based on fundamentally - constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible. The adjustable wing idea I'm not too keen on, and what long term development benefit will this provide for manufacturers in the sport? Perhaps some more insight into aero design, but I'm not sure how it will apply to road going cars with the same effect. KERS, on the other hand, has tons of technical development benefits that can find their way into production cars. There is a paradigm shift taking place in automotive engineering and design. Hybrids may only make up a fraction of the cars on the road now, but it is "tech" that's likely to stick around for quite some time until fusion power is marketed. The development of KERS in F1 will find its way into production cars just like the paddle shift gearbox has.

the kers is definitely an interesting aside from engine development, mosley's whole plan was to keep f1 from burning itself out and to keep it interesting, its all business, and if everybody laid everything on the table all the time we'd all move on to other things. look how boring moto-x is now, seen too much too soon and drag racing, the pinnacle has been reached.sigpic

So I just got back from a week in the wilderness, but I can't seem to find out what the Hamilton deal is. Summary please!Comment

Hamilton went around the safety car without being told to when it came onto the track after Webber's Le Mans redo and got a huge advantage from it, got a drivethru for it late in the race and the penalty didn't actually affect Hamilton's race at all except for giving Vettel a little breathing room. Ferrari got fucked over for following the rules and went from being on Lewis's tail to barely in the points.Comment

Finally got a reply, apparently, Saturday my time is considered Saturday EST, so I missed the "friday EST" cut off point, otherwise i'd be over 100 points clear at the top of the table.
I was so pissed off I made no changes to my team and went straight back to the top of the table :p
