Attaching a $100+ piece of plactic with plastic clips to the most likely spot on your car to hit anything is the definition of asking for it. I have a Volvo lip attached with a hand full of zip ties on the back. It cost $6 plus a $3 rattle can. I run it into my concrete parking curb thing on a daily basis. It's been ripped off more than once. The damn thing is tough as nails and most importantly flexible. Oh and it looks better than the IS lip. If it was some kind of obscure BMW piece that cost $350 and you could only get from the dealer but looked exactly the same everyone would wish they had one. But no, it's a pos volvo part from the JY therefore every BMW fanboy has to hate it order to to keep their Ethug manhood.

Sure, it's cheap but it looks like shit. Between my lip, my splitter, my splitter supports and the paint I probably HAVE $350 on the front of my car and you know how it survives? I DON'T FUCKING DRIVE INTO SHIT. Your argument for having a cheap lip so you can scrape it pointless. It's like saying it's better to marry a fat chick with a codependency complex, sure she's ugly as fuck but you can beat her and she won't complain about it.

I was so careful with my iS lip until some fucker decided to throw his mattress off the back of his truck on a highway in the middle of a downpour, by the time I saw it, it was too late and I ripped off my lip and splitter.
Went back and tried to see if it was salvageable...no bueno.

Thank You! Except I didn't spend that much on mine, I used a 3 dollar flat black rattle can so I can drive into shit without messing up a nice paint job. :)

My splitter is black and will hit anything before my lip does so I figured it would be nice to have a body-color lip.

Things falling off a truck on the highway are what we call accidents and that is why we pay so much for car insurance. Don't drive like a dumbass and if something catastrophic happens and you can't afford a new lip, file a claim.

i've had a reiger lip on my car for like 5 years now, and an is lip for a couple years before that.. I've never hit anything with it (well, except a giant possum on the freeway). you just have to not be a retard. if you're smashing into stuff with your lip all the time your valance is probably all fucked up anyway. broken fog lights and missing brake ducts? check.
