    You aren't an E30 enthusiast.

No, he's just smart! I think I'm going to divert my medical school loans and buy that M3 :)

      Yeah its clean. Real nice.

But we've just been having the discussion about low mileage cars over on firstfives.org and we seem to agree that the premium that folks ask for them are a bit ridiculous. Lots of potential for issues with a car with so few miles. Hoses, seals, fluids, gaskets, master cylinder. Those soft parts need to be used, otherwise they dry out and crack and such.

BTW, I'm know nothing about this particular car. It may be as good as it looks. Jsut somethign to think about.

That does look like one of the cleanest cars I have ever seen.
But I just think that the bubble is just funny looking :nice:
But there is no way I am going to get a car that expensive any time soon.

          dude, this thread rules!!
I am glad I posted it now...

In response tyo charlie thinking E30 M3 guys are odd ducks, your damn right. This group is different than any other car group I can think of dealing with.
I wouldn't trade my M3 for ANYTHING, even something tripple its value.

I give people rides in m car, like on thursday night for instance, and they get out saying "wow, I never knew that those cars were that fast and could handle soo good! they sound amazing too".

I bet you have never had a ride in an E30 M3 huh Bimer360, am I right?

anyhow, that car belongs in a showroom somewhere, its too nice to drive. 8)

Some sucker will pay 45K for it, but I never would if I had the money.

Yay, it's absolutely perfect with barely a spec of dust on the entire car. But keep in mind that whoever owns that car next is going to have to keep the car in the exact same shape. Driving it a couple thousand miles will get all those shiny suspension pieces dirty from road grime and brake dust.

For $45K, sign me up for a 100K E30 M3 and I'll build it to Sport Evolution spec, and them some.

Haha... i feel bad b/c i started this whole fight thing. This should have been a post about drooling over a mint e30 M3. So for those of you that care.... sorry about stealing it. I just stated my opinion that for that amount of money i would rather have an e46 M3. So for any of you that dont think i had a point in all my madness, franz, this is it.

thats cool man, I found it more entertaining to read people defending why this M3 was worth 45k, but who knows if he will even get close to that from a private party...
thanks for playing the devils advocate, sometimes I do, its more fun that way!

if it were me, and 45k was on the table, I would be importing a RED EVO3 M3 with low miles and everything I want on it... then mod it how I want, and I would still be under 45k.

You are 100% right my friend. :D I hear out of all the M3's the E30 is the most fun to drive. Personally i would rather give up a little of te fun factor for more luxury and appearence of the e36 and e45. But then again i'm not an odd duck like you guys are . But if i had 10 - 15K to spend on a car the E30 M3 would be rigth up there for me. Heck i have driven a freakin ferrari, and i still would rather have an e46 M3 and i have never driven one. My dream car over anything else, even if i had millions, would be a e46 M3 with a V8 M5 motor twin turboed. Am i not an E30 M3 enthusiast? Haha.... not like you guys. Am i an E30 enthusiast? Well, i have just spent two days in a post arguing like some HS kid..... you decide. Ummmm so yeah..... can i drive your M3 ? OHH here is a pop quiz for all you "odd ducks." Gimme the reason why E30 M3's handle better then the rest. And i'm not talkin about the components factor. The question is why did they design it that way?

That's cool bimma, I see your point. I would rather have this one, a chance at appreciation and uniqueness over almost certain depreciation and commonness. To each his own. I also can see why someone with only 45k to spend would much rather have a car he can drive and enjoy and wanted to make a point that this car will never sell to someone that only has 45k to spend on a car. It will likely go to someone with a heck of a lot more money than most of us will see in our lifetimes!

the suspension geometry is "perfect" and it is the lightest of the 3 M3's, which makes cars handle much better.
they FEEl best, while they might not handle best... a properly setup e30 M3 could give an E46 M3 a run for its money.

Because it was the top of the line car, it was the true "performance" model. Different, lighter components, revised suspension geometry, better weight placement and improved aerodynamics all contribute to this.

Holy shizzle.... for that kind of money I would import an Alpina C1 biturbo or M1. If I was Jay Leno I would get that M tho...

                                E30 M3's handle better than E36 and E46? Whaaaaaaaat?!

E36/E46......stiffer chassis, revised rear suspension design, much faster on a road course.

Maybe in an auto-x or a goofy track like Kershaw, the E30 M3 would stand a chance.

But you cannot argue with a stiffer chassis, updated suspension geometry, and 2 extra sluggers working for ya. ;)
