bought a car in Penn. need to ship to Chicago, help?

Im new here and searched for another thread similar but didn't see anything. I am looking to find a shipping company that any of you might recommend, or other options for getting the car home to chicago. I just bought a 1990 325is. thanks for the help. If there is another thread then if you could direct me to it.

How far does AAA plus tow a car without charging. I think it is like 300 miles. I know basic AAA is like 5 Miles free. Hmm Maybe plus is only 100 miles.

How far are you from where your car is? Put an add up at some of the colleges in Chicago, I am sure someone lives close to where your car is and goes home periodically. You could get a lift down, and drive you baby back.

It's a thought. You could also put an add up on Craig's list. Check little airlines, like Independence air or southwest, you might get a cheap one way ticket as well.

        Good Luck!!

                Well!!

That's not going to do him a bit of good, now is it.

                :(

                Sorry, I tried.

Colleges, Craig's list and cheap airlines might still be a good bet though.

I used to be a travel agent, I could help you out on seeing what fairs are out there. Let me know if you want some help.

                :)

Ok i talked to the guy selling me the car, and the wate pump relay on this car is a bit hokey. I am not too sure I would want to drive it back for the whole stretch, just because I dont have one of those relays handy and if it craps out on me, then im stuck. I might have to have it delivered to me and i found a place that will charge me $515.00, but i am still hoping to do it a bit cheaper since I would rather put that money into the car.

If you look on ebay motors they recomend a company. $500 seems about right and to fly out there, all of the gas, time etc you would be out about $300. Spend the extra $$ and relax.

haha, okay that makes sense. :)

you can just swap the relay with the one next to it that heats up the O2 sensor.. it will still work, it just won't warm up on it's own until the exhaust heats it up.
