Check your local autoparts store or shipping store/officemax. If not try a specialties plastic firm. I used to buy this blue shit that had a really weak glue on it that I stuck on the faces of computers I had shipped out with polymer faces to protect it to scratches. Its a LOT thinner than the stuff sold to protect flashlights but it should help somewhat on the roads and come off easily.
If you cant find it to buy try and find a place that makes/sells plexiglass windows. Gross sheets of it come with the same stuff on it. They might have a source or if you drove the car there you could apply it right off the plastic. :PIm now E30less.
