oh, they're very easy to replace in the car

not the whole rocker, just the little adjusters

yeah. thought so. i would be scared of dropping the nut into one of the oil returns though.

i'll try that for my next valve adjustment, see if it holds better for longer.. the head is pretty new though. rebuilt not too long ago, but im not sure if the eccentrics are the problem.

i do know two of them on the intake side are backwards, making it a bitch to get the proper tension on them.

replace the nuts and bolts too. Also check the rocker clips for wear and rocker side-side play.

I think there needs to be a N/A Megasquirt thread/subforum on here. E30tech has alot of MS info but it is mostly geared toward turbos. I know there are a few guys running MS on here with NA motors, and as i plan on going MS in the near future on my stroker, some starting points and more info would be helpful. the Megamanual can only get you so far.

I have the diyPNP kit and i hit a wall at 4500rpm. Turns out my VR sensor is crapping out and the bosch ecu does a lot of compensating that ms can't. Try swaping that out to see if that clears up your issues.

the stock ECU is just a lot less sensitive. Yours would probably work fine on MS1. Did you ever try the noise filtering?

the magnets don't go bad, but the area where the wires go into the sensor can (corrosion, breakage)

so those who have had the Maf, is it worth the extra money besides just buying a chip?
or is most of the gain seen from the installation of the chip itself..?

if you never go big turbo and just stick to light-moderate setups you'll be ok-ish but ideally megasquirt is going to give you any level of customization you could want. the miller stuff will allow some customization but it has limitations, it also has a few plusses namely pnp-ability but it is limited to plug and play-ability.
